up all night to get lucky
INSIDE: vintage Celine sunnies, the Martini Necklace, and a new thrifting app!!!
Happy Memorial Day Friday – you not only made it to the long weekend… you made it to SUMMER!!! Don’t forget to buy yourself a Friday treat today, you really, really deserve it. Bonus points if we get a lil summer energy into it (for me, that’s anything lemon or matcha!).
And while you’re sipping or snacking, make sure you check out the latest thrift style post on the gram, this time for the fabulous Sapna Rao of Sheer Luxe! I am OBSESSED with her style and with all the SL ladies. Two notes: first, make sure you follow on the gram if you are subscribed here, I’m planning a lil dual giveaway hehehehehe. And two, Substack simply will not allow me to live-import Instagrams, is anyone else having that issue?
Now, onto the good stuff…
Get Thrifty
1. Lisa Says Gah Rowan Top, Size M from Depop, $65
Ok…….. y’all have to beat me to this one, I might have to make an offer. SUCH a steal price and it’s in excellent condition (and check out the back). I truly think you could wear this to a party, a picnic, a beach, and everything in between.
2. See By Chloé Shirt, Size S from Vestaire, $88
Yeah, I am a total sucker for this type of preppy lol. This with some lil jean cut-offs, 90s sunnies, and kitten heels around the 4th of July??? Incredible. I think it would also work for a variety of sizes, just would change the fit!
3. Celine Sunglasses from Vestaire, $87
Speaking of 90s sunnies… um, oh my god????? These Celine bbs are a STEAL. And it looks like someone already put in an offer, so grab ‘em fast if you want them!
4. Dior Black Leather Heels, Size 6 from Vestaire, $77
Ok, clearly I want on a little vintage designer rabbit hole lol, but I LOVE the heels on these! And vintage Dior for under $80 is NUTS.

1. Full Of Sunshine Cotton-Linen Mini Dress from Free People, $60
All I ever want to put on in the summer is an easy, comfy, cool dress and this Free People mini fits the bill to a tee! LOVE the neckline and check out the open-back for a cool breeze (also, it feels like the open-back era of the mid-2010s is upon us again and I’m not mad lol). One flag from the reviews – plan tonwear pasties or a bra with this girlie!
2. The Martini Necklace from Mercer Street, $68
I just discovered this brand, Mercer Street, and I think it is the ideal blend of statement but also super dainty and wearable jewelry!! Definitely check out their earrings. And this martini moment might just need to come home with me…
3. Square Neck Tank from We Wore What, $68
Ok, I am the BIGGEST We Wore What and Danielle Bernstein, so I am SO excited about their new PJs and loungewear drop, which already has many rave reviews. I also love this tank because… I would also 100% wear her to a bar or out for a walk lol.
4. Buckle Slide Sandals from Anthropologie, $60
I am entering a deep Anthropologie phase right now (which just always makes me feel like I have my shit together lol) and coincidentally, right in time for their 40% off Memorial Day sale!!! There are some SERIOUS goodies in there, like these adorable olive sandals.

I tried a new ~thrift experience~ this week which, as a jaded online shopper, was a very fun experience! It is called Lucky Sweater, and it’s a trading thrift platform – so basically you post your items, like other items, and if there is a mutual liking situation, you can swap with people. I’ll drop the graphic here because it does a much better explaining than me ⬇️
And I participated in my first successful swap this past Tuesday/this week! To give a peek at the whole process, here are a few of the things I liked (indicating my interest to trade for them).
Definitely some good stuff that I think I would get a lot of use out of. And as I mentioned, I did end up making a successful trade with another item I liked ⬇️
I am SO excited for these sandals, and hope my trade partner loves this dress :) A few takeaways from my experience this week:
They are SERIOUS about their qualifications for items, and right now, it’s only true vintage (20 years old or more) or from slow fashion brands. There is chatter that they will be expanding to more recent, “typical” brands soon.
People are really, really nice on the app so don’t be afraid to chat and ask questions!
The more stuff you post, the better position you are in to make trades – even with my one item, it wasn’t too hard, but I definitely want to get more up there.
There’s a little box when you’re creating a listing where you can share memories you have with the item and it is simply the cutest thing
All in all, I really enjoyed Lucky Sweater, and I am excited to see it grow more. I think they have a fabulous thrift community on their hands as well, and if I have time to clean out more of my closet this weekend lol, I will see you when trading opens on Tuesday!

According to @tagwalk on IG, Bella Hadid is driving a ton of traffic to Saint Laurent with her STUNNING Cannes looks… and as a staunch stan of both tbh, I am thrilled by the development.

The Sol de Janeiro x Beis collab came straight out of my dreams… and offers further proof that Shay Mitchell will never not be that girl.
- was in Vogue Business ICYMI!!!!!! It’s a slay all around, and I’m so hype that thrifting super stars like her are getting some love from mainstream media as they should be!!
I have not been able to stop thinking about this NYT article that
shared this week about teenage boys buying expensive colognes… like where was that when I was a teenager but also is this the next level of the Drunk Elephant insanity?? (NYT free access link here!)The most clicked-on articles from the last regular newsletter (and tysm for all the love of the CDMX special edition one!!) was the post from Good On You, which makes me so happy, the coffee cup graphic tee, and @InfluencedBy’s amazing TikTok on Abercrombie sales.
And that’s all I’ve got! I hope you have an wonderful, restful long weekend, most preferably on a boat 🛳
