clothes for a cause, we love to see it
ALSO INSIDE: a Dior make-up bag, a Lioness code, and some early Valentine's Day outfit ideas 💌
Hello, my friends! Happy Friday – take a minute to 🎉 because you made it!
I don’t know about you all, but this month has been a tough one on my noggin, and this week has been especially brought. Between the cold here and the terrifying news coming out of LA and the looming TikTok ban harming so many small businesses and, perhaps most of all (I think some of you may know, I work in progressive politics in my other life)… many certain someones who have admitted to abusing women, amongst many other things, officially coming into power in the US.
If politics aren’t your thing or you’re taking a mental health break after a very, very tough year, please feel free to skip to the B.N.W.T. section! But I did want to share some info and some ways to support organizations helping women.
First and foremost, there are a ton of Women’s Marches going on this Saturday – you can find the closest one to you right here! And just a reminder, if you do go, stay hydrated, bring snacks, and stay safe :)
I also was thinking a lot about how there are so many scammy merch vendors that sell items with messaging about issues but none of the proceeds go towards helping those issues (not talking about small businesses at all, just sellers who are looking to make money and don't care about the cause!). On that note, I compiled some merch items and organizations where either all the proceeds or most of them go directly to the cause they address!

I want to specifically call out the National Network of Abortion Funds merch site which has amazing products that all benefit specific regional and local pro-choice organizations!! For example, in the bottom left corner, the grey crewneck with the cartoon (which is a hand-drawn cartoon from an abortion justice organization in Ohio in the 1970s) funds Preterm, an abortion clinic in Ohio. I highly, highly recommend taking a look at all the things they have to offer – and maybe looking for orgs who are in your state to support!
(Also, I tried to turn off any affiliate links for this for me, but in the case any money is generated off clicks – or even if there isn’t – I will be sure to give any proceeds to these orgs!)
Ok, now onto some more good stuff :) also I know I said I had an big idea I wanted to share with y’all this week… but I need a lil more time to marinate hehe, dropping next week or the week after stay tuuuuuuned
B.N.W.T.
Bear with me, part of feeling my feelings this week is also a lot of nostalgia – if TikTok gets banned, next week’s newsletter will be alllll about looking back at the iconic trends that went viral on there ofc. I also was taking a look back at old ATSCs and found so many cool brands that I forgot about even after I wrote about them!! So bringing them back for this section.
1. Rosette Bow Clip from Damson Madder, $23 (sale)
Of course, it is quite impossible to forget Damson Madder, but I do usually think of them as a summer brand primarily. I was dead wrong, their winter stuff like this rosette bow is STUNNING.
2. Rising Sun Jersey from Lioness, $79 (use VIP30 for 30% off!)
I realized I haven’t been writing about Lioness as much, but it is never far from my thoughts or my texts lol. I am obsessed with this top from their Renacida drop, I am seeing it ALL over my feed… you guys, do I do it?
3. Ungaro Necklace from Mercer Street, $65
Holy SHIT the Mercer Street A/W 2024 line is so good, I can’t believe I missed it until now! Also, apparently, if you spend $100, you get a free suede tote??
4. Ex-Boyfriend Button Up from Rumored, $44 (sale)
Super cute for Valentine’s Day and will be a staple when spring and summer finally get here…
5. Stella Printed Long Sleeve T-Shirt from Dynamite, $45
Ok, I loveeeeeeeeeee her.
Get Thrifty
1. ASOS Quilted Coat from Curtsy, Size Small, $47
I’m sorry, this is a STEAL!! I love the way they styled this too. Also, don’t sleep on the coat game over on Curtsy, guys!
2. BDG Ankle-Zip Skinny Jeans from Nuuly Resale on UO, All Sizes, $25
They said animal print is in, and I said copy that!! Also, so late to the party again it seems, but Nuuly also resells on Urban Outfitters (in addition to Anthro), and I think it’s even cheaper.
3. Sezane Wool Jumper from Vestiaire Collective, Size 2 (probably S/M), $60
As we all know and are probably painfully aware, a Sezane sweater under $100 is big news.
4. Rag & Bone Velvet Ankle Boots from Vestiaire Collective, Size 40 IT (10 US), $45
The whimsy!!! These are so cool, if this is your size, I am JEALOUS.
5. Dior Cosmetics Bag from Curtsy, $65
After a very extreme and regrettable lip gloss spillage, I have been in the market for new make-up bags, and I thought she was cute!
Shop Small 4 Ever
1. Double Heart Frame from Picture Frame USA, $30
I know I said I’d hold off on most of the Valentine’s stuff until February but look at this 😭😭😭 can you imagine this as a gift!!
2. Star Ring from AS Jewellers, $21 (sale)
Cute, cute, CUTE is all I have to say personally. Might have to make a lil purchase here.
3. Stamp Magnets from Paws and Postmarks, $24
I think these stamp magnets are perfect – I believe you get a random assortment of four (please don’t sell them out before I buy some lol).
4. Pomegranate Vase from New Moon Ceramics, $54
I am so entranced by this pomegranate, the glaze is STUN-NING. Could be the coolest housewarming gift of all time idk.
5. COSMIC FRIENDS Earrings from Abovearth AU, $72
Ok wow, love them (an it couple it appears?) and LOVE this store.
More Fun Stuff
Some of my favorite Substack reads this week were:
izzy rose of the microdose’s on feeling sexy and good in glasses (as a fellow kid glasses wearer who is learning how to feel confident in them again!)
these incredible Elsa Peretti finds (fun fact, a Peretti necklace from my parents at my confirmation was the first nice jewelry I ever owned!!) from Kendall Flavin of The Dressing Room
this guest post over on Earl Earl by Laurel Pantin on what an author wore each day as a juror on a murder trial that I ate tf up (MORE of this please!!)
Some insane stats and info from Cosmopolitan UK on what people are spending on hauls… nothing has convinced me I should really try no-buy or low-buy for a bit like this article, goodness.
I can’t stop watching the Lousie Carmen account’s POV/birds’ eye TikToks (does anyone know if they also do this on Instagram or elsewhere because I can’t give this up).
This IG post from Thanks It's From made me LOL, I would like to know the person who originally owned it very much!!
Good news, guys, I have found a new print artist to be utterly obsessed with – her name is Betsy Mae!
A reminder that I’m keeping all my January 2025 faves on Etsy right here! And while we’re talking links, here’s my Phia code and ShopMy referral code in case helpful :)
The most clicked links from last week were:
The NA-KD black one-piece (I’ll let you all know how it works out on my trip!!)
And that’s all! This was a looooooong one – if you made it to this point, ily! See you next week <3
